If you know who this is and I know who you are the chances are that I am sorry to you.
Not for everything, and definitely not for all my words, but more or less my actions, or short comings of them.
Does that make sense?
I am sorry for what I did and didn't do,
what I am sure I did wasn't intentional, and to cause you harm was the least of my yearnings.
I wanted happiness and love,
acceptance and friendship.
And I got nothing and panic'ed and ran screaming, flailing arms about acting all...well typical and ruining everything in my path.

It hurt, the words and actions you did.
More then the ones others were doing, saying, putting in your mouth. I always knew when it came from you.
It was always a low hit, with nothing behind it, words had meaning, but not a violent one, not even angry.
I know you don't feel you need to apologize for everything, we share that view.
I am just wanting happiness, love, acceptance and friendship for you.
Even if none of that is from me.
Life hurts, and I am sorry for making that pain stronger, harder to swallow and bitter.
I made it that way for me too.

So again, K.S, sorry. And I hope life has brought you everything you wanted and more. I hope it brought everything we wanted together, but with some one else, maybe better. I hope that even though we don't speak, see or need each other anymore, that we can be civil.

I dream of you, awake to tears and memories and the hardest pain in my heart I've ever felt. In those moments I feel more alone and afraid then I have ever felt, anywhere, with anyone. I cry about what lives we could have together and what a difference we could have made for each other. I want to hug you, and feel the same way we always felt, through all the years and all the memories. I know that won't happen, or ever even become a thought in your mind, whatever I did, I did it to the point of reckoning, and doomed myself to a life lived alone.

Not alone, but without you.
I've lost a lot of my soul to be who I am, perhaps an apology, a fair trade of words, would bring it back. I know that that's a typical thing for me to want. Something from nothing. I lost myself and in trying to find myself again, it's a good step to back track. I keep landing on you.

Monday upon us and what's more I've gone days with out creativity. I've finished a painting about a week ago and now have the steam free exhausties. That's ok though, I'm sure it'll come to me at one point. Damn, got to make this a short and also un-creative tid bit of mine.

HELP ME

I know I wrote out some mini-half-assed blurb only minutes ago, but now I seek the help of the online community, not that there are people out there that actually read, look or comment on all the crap I put up. So I am redoing my 'reading room' (dubbed so by my daughter)  slash showroom (dubbed so by me). I have an onslaught of artwork piling up and have no idea the best way to showcase it in my 10 foot by 10 foot room. So here I will give you some pics and you can tell me what to do...not where to go.

not where to go,

I have to prime the room and I was thinking something dark on one wall and the rest bright/light colours. (STOP correcting me with the little red lines, I live in Canada...there's a U). Also looking for some display solutions such as a thicker chair rail I can set art on or something to that effect.

Plus I need some better shelving too being that I have some clay art and 3-D stuff that needs better displaying then on a dusty basement/studio shelf hidden behind thousands of records and cassettes (I know its 2011)

So any and all input is awesome and appreciated!

Wow, Since November??

I haven't been up to much, being out of work really gets me down, as it does the best of us. I've been cleaning and organizing and colouring in colour books. My daughter doesn't go to day school anymore because with me not working, not only is it not affordable, but pointless (except for the child interaction which both she and I miss). I have been painting and painting and painting and the odd sewing. I made a sock monkey, first one ever and have found my sewing abilities to not entirely suck, so I want to make some more for all the great little kiddies and friends I know. Here's some pics to update you, and I promise to stop in more often (maybe :s )

Long time no see. Ive been working on some stuff but nothing worth sharing. I threw the purple chair out, its dangerous. I fell off it a million times because the wheels arent balanced proper. Ill give u a better update later on, my computer is moving rather slow...arg. Im ahead of the words shown in typing but atleast a sentence.

I ruined it!

My attempt at finishing my chair pretty much destroyed it. My husband is very supportive and tells me it doesn't suck to bad, but still I see it as ruined and wouldn't mind starting from scratch!

  It's very crude! but anyway I picked a ribbon that went with my colours (would have preferred plaid!) and the smart thing to do would have been mod podge the ribbon on, but I glue gunned it (one of my many faults in this project, along with paint drying time and sand paper)

Remind me to plan ahead better next time!

No Craft Today

just letting the world know that as a Canadian I am celebrating turkey weekend up here. I am not trudging through snow yet and that's a good start to the holiday season. We have thanksgiving, halloween, christmas, Olivia's birthday and new years all packed in this small amount of time. But we'll make it work. I don't have any ideas for my next craft yet either but my hubby wants a bench made of skateboards, that's free, doesn't require paint and I know the perfect person to help me put it all together, now I just need to go through the stacks of decks to find some that are all the same size lol.

Ribbon and Staples.

Thank you Goopie! I am going to recap all the non-finished (that are finished) crafts. The pants, the chair, the coffin...yup.... but got to get batteries for the camera first. The pants are chees-a-rific for my halloween costume, and the coffin needs some "doodlings" as well. We are in the midst of colder weather and that means more inside time, so here's hoping that craft bug sticks with me.

Garbage Treasure~ Chair

A discarded piece of once loved furniture.... gold to those in craft need. So I found this chair, and being off work thought I could make a project of it. Homeward bound (by foot) I pushed the chair the few blocks and into my crafty basement.




It was plain, sad, even had a cracked seat and no backing....hmm...where to start.








After a quick stop over at our local paint supplier to buy my chosen colours (sample size for only $4.00 ea.) I sat with the beast of a chair ready to paint. Here's what it looks like with 2 coats of paint....

After letting it dry for days upon days (nothing dries fast enough when creative juices are flowing), I did some mod podging and added some bird details. I was thinking of adding vines to the legs but have to wait until I have enough vines to stick to it...

I then painted a back piece for the chair. I took the old back from a retro chair that needed thrown away and painted it yellow. (I have yet to take the knife to it to trim it to size, then staple gun it into place, and add a bright yellow ribbon to hide the seam)

Some detail work and finishing touches heres what she looks like. ( I know I need to add the back piece but I never put these things up finished....)

Some edited Pics

I do take some pretty nice pictures from time to time and thinking that this is all things creative me, I will put some up. A small portion of the edited and taken pics by me. I'm gonna put the more generic (no faces) ones to keep my daughter and husbands privacy the most in tact as I can. So here's some, and Im sure there will be more.

Our Own Founded Craft

So with Halloween approaching and me, recently bitten with the craft bug, things are definitely afoot. My two friends, a couple whose company I frequent, and I were trying to figure some things out for a costume party/ potluck that we are attending. Hilda then mentioned a coffin idea she was hatching recently and off it took. Bruno, the secret architect that he is, manufactured the original two. I took them home and paper mache and painted, along with some accents. Hilda added decorations to her original scheme. It was then, not only a craft bug, but the coffin craft bug ta-boot.

So here I am making my own version of the cardboard coffin, miniature of course. Wanna know how?




First I grabbed a shoe box. This I saw, from Bruno's coffins, was easiest, less
finicky too. I was already half way through making my coffin when I remembered to take pictures so here's my fake shoe box and it has a couple repeat appearances along the way.






Then there was the step of drawing a crotch, or big Y on the shoe box and cutting it accordingly. You will also need to cut the bottom and trim some away. You'll be able to see a straight side and a slanted side other wise. Say that ten times fast.











I then folded it over on it self and taped it. I mean A LOT of tape, not just a little. Make sure that sucka stays in place.












Tape the bottom and inside too.
 I also closed all seams on the out side at this point.
And the top, sealed to top seam too.
You'll notice that I cut the shoe box to be less deep as well. You can if you want before you tape it.

I then had the top in tack, cut it in half (you'll want to be pretty precise here) it forms two flaps and fashion an addition piece the same size as the foot of the coffin to make the top of the head. Tape it all in place!










So there you have a basic coffin shape. After you fill the hole, I always say re-enforcement is a good idea. So from the lid I fashioned another back piece (two to fill it). Taped all the seams and moved on to the next step.















Paint the thing. I picked a black and navy inside which worked well. Now you'll see that acrylic doesn't stick to the tape so well, so always mix enough for two coats and store it between coats.. The outside I chose a purple, tan and burgundy mix (I am low on paint people). Again saving some for the second coat.


Now I am doing some more marker and paint work to detail but I am going to leave something and do a recap of all my unfinished crafts. When they get done. haha.

Halloween Spook-Tacular Crafts

So I am being a glam rocker for halloween, along with a few friends of mine. Our band name is patent leather snake and the common theme for our band is of course bad animal prints. Something my costume has none of, yet. The crafty-ness that I am going to show you has nothing what-so-ever to do with what I just said, but is cool none the less, and is to do with my costume (I am aware it's September still). So first I bought some old TIGHT grey/silver pants from the thrift shoppe. I knew that I would never wear them seriously and then they were my costume. There's nothing really wrong with them but the tightness..

So I cut a skinny and tall triangle into the pant leg. Yup, skinny and tall, ha. 

Here's a pic with my hand inside to demonstrate.

Here's the final product (on one leg). Mind you I didn't sew it, just so I could tuck it without the extra bulge a bell bottom would have.

My theme is metallics and gold (with animal print of course) and so I decided to do a zig-zag pattern up the leg with the silver acrylic paint

 (you could use fabric if you wanted something to last forever)

I then added a gold inner lining on the zig zag. I know that  it's a pretty crappy job of it, but the idea is to add a thick black lining on the outside once completely dry (sharpie of course for preciseness).



And here we have the pockets painted with the gold. The other side will be the silver. Remember when being a glam rocker you need to be gaudy. Hahaha.






This is the final product minus the black out line. But I have to save some surprise for the night. "i'll do it on the night"









So that's the pants. I also have a gold lace cape and fishnet gloves and high boots with star stickers and gaudy jewelry. I can't wait!

Now that I was in a painting mood, I figured why not harass a canvas. I reuse canvas' so that our walls and that aren't packed. "why don't you sell/give some away" Well, if you ask, you will probably receive ( keep in mind there's some we'll never part with as well as ones given to us you can't have haha)
So this is my recycled cavas...


Next I gave it a coat of black and gold. (you can see texture in the cavas....eeks)








Added some gobs of silver and let them drip a bit,







pressed it on the collage door,

 and then did the same with gold (everything was wet still)

After that, I used my big rotten old sponge brush to move it around more.







I like this way of doing things because it makes it look like a portrait back drop. The ones you get in school or at department stores. I know that means it's generic but I don't care because it's not the focus on this piece.

I then chose a picture my husband took of a spider behind his work place. It creeps me out, so I avoid looking at the spider when I put it on the wet canvas.

I proceeded to seal the edges with the paint and a brush. Of course gold and silver paint to keep today's theme going. That and it fits with the colours that are already there.

I took it one step further in attempt the blend and cover the stark black of the photo.  And that's the final product as well. Now if it's a keeper (which I think it might be when my husband sees it), seal it with a varnish or clear sealant.

And just because today didn't have enough pictures heres one of the mod podge walls I did in my home. It's on the side of the basement shelves (we are frequenters of the basement). My husband picked the pictures from his on-slot of materials and I put them all up for him. It's gotten good reviews.
